Class Descriptions
Creative Movement
This class is for pre-school age children (must be at least 3 yrs old). The class involves activities that teach balance, coordination, stretching, and movement to music; along with an introduction to basic ballet and tumbling skills. (45 min.)
Ballet Technique Intro
Teaches fundamental techniques upon which other dance forms are based; including classical ballet technique, basic exercises and center floor combinations. (45 min.)
Combination Class I
Teaches basic ballet and tap principles, including center floor combination. Students must be 5 years old or have completed the Creative Movement class (1 hour)
Combination Class II
Teaches basic ballet, tap and jazz principles, including center floor combinations and exercises. Must have 2 years Combination I class.(1 hour)
Tap/Jazz Technique
A class for the serious dancer that teaches the fundamental techniques of ballet, tap, and jazz. This class is geared towards developing a more extensive terminology and knowledge of the art of ballet and Jazz; including: barre work, basic exercises, jumps, leaps, turns and center floor combination.(1 1/4 hour)
Jazz/Hip-Hop Class
Traditional jazz warm-up and technique blended with the music and moves that are popular today. (1 hour)
Lyrical
This expressive style of dance combines elements of both jazz and ballet. Dancers interpret songs through their dancing and expressions of feeling and emotion, while developing balance and control in their movements. Students must have 4 years of ballet training and be at least 9 years old to participate in this class. (lyrical I-45 mins/lyrical II & III- 1 hour)
Tumbling Classes (3 levels)
Level 1-No previous tumbling/gymnastics training required. Focus on basic fundamentals such as safety, body positions, tumbling verbiage, control of each skill, strength and flexibilty.
Level 2-Continue to build on all fundamental skills learned in level 1. We will connet skills we learned in level 1 and begin working of more advanced tumbling skills, as well specific skills needed for dance routines.
Level 3-Will build and connect skills learned in level 1&2. We will devote most of the time in this class for flipping, perfecting form for specific skills needed in routines, and achieving confidence to do these skills on any surface without a spot.
Ballet Technique II/Ballet Technique III + POINTE
A class for the serious dancer that teaches the fundamental techniques of ballet and pointe. This class is geared towards developing a more extensive terminology and knowledge of the art of ballet and Jazz; including: barre work, basic exercises, jumps, leaps, turns and center floor combination. (TII-1 1/2 hours/TPIII-2 hours)
All That Dance Pro Company-Pro Company Dancers are required to take regular classses all subject that they will compete in. Please see your instructor for guidlines of Company Dancers.
